Positioned between the MSA 220 and MSA 300 in the STIHL professional battery range, it offers an ideal balance of power, agility and productivity for demanding daily use.

Delivering 2.0 kW of mechanical power and 2.8 Nm of torque, the MSA 260 C-O provides the performance needed for tasks such as felling small trees, processing timber and maintenance work in forestry, arboriculture and landscape management. With a maximum chain speed of 24 m/s, it delivers fast, efficient cutting performance while maintaining impressive handling characteristics.

The MSA 260 C-O has been specifically designed to work with the ALLPRO AP 200 P* battery, delivering an exceptional balance of runtime, performance and weight. The lightweight 1.3 kg battery ensures excellent ergonomics whilst providing the power required for demanding applications. With the ALLPRO AP 200 P battery, the saw can fell and delimb up to two pine trees measuring 30 cm in diameter and 15 m in height, or achieve up to 25 minutes of working time, depending on the application.

Productivity is enhanced further through the combination of ALLPRO AP 200 P batteries, the AL 1802 charger and PS 2000 power bank. Thanks to the battery’s rapid charging capability, reaching 80% charge in as little as 9 minutes, operators can maintain continuous workflows throughout the working day with minimal interruption.

Designed around efficiency and ease of use, the MSA 260 C-O features an adjustable oil pump which allows chain lubrication to be matched to the application. For lighter-duty work, oil consumption can be reduced, helping to extend operating time between refills and minimise downtime.

Additional professional features include metal bumper spikes, side-mounted chain tensioning, an adjustable oil pump and an interchangeable sprocket system which allows the saw to be configured for either 3/8″ Picco or .325″ chain setups, offering greater flexibility across a range of applications.

Comfort remains a key focus, with low vibration levels of 2.9 m/s² on the left handle and 2.7 m/s² on the right handle, alongside a sound pressure level of just 89 dB(A), helping to reduce operator fatigue during long working days.

Working time with the AP 200 P battery is 25 minutes

The MSA 260 must be used with the ALLPRO AP 200 P or ALLPRO AP 300 P battery.
